Munich Germany Food
Aside from eating a LOT at the Christmas Markets with so much amazing food and drinks, we did go out for dinner at one local hot spot which was an old German church that was turned into a restaurant where the beer is brewed and brought onto the bar in a GIANT Barrel Keg and then tapped by the bartender and then the barmaids fill and sling beer just as you have seen in the movies. The atmosphere was amazing and Christmas all over and for our first German traditional meal of schnitzel and roast duck. The beer was so good it was like drinking caramel, smooth and delicious, the food was so good you cannot compare it to anything in America because it is all fresh. The next night we took Stella to the famous Ratskeller at Marienplatz, and it was just awful as it was tourist food, so I guess we paid for a fancy place to eat. BTW it still tasted better than American food it just wasn't as good as the other places we have eaten around the city.
The next morning, we took to a local restaurant to eat breakfast, and we had a traditional Bavarian breakfast which was fresh pretzel bread, white lamb sausage and potato porridge and of course, beer with breakfast. All the food was so good and tasted fresh and even at the Christmas markets it was so fresh and good.
